If you want to download apps, or you want to use Youtube, for example, you need internet. You can connect the radio to a Hotspot, which is, for example, a smartphone with internet access.
You actually activate the Hotspot function via your smartphone, and you go to WiFi settings via the radio, so not to Hotspot settings. You can search for your smartphone via the WiFi settings. You connect the WIFI with your smartphone and if that is successful you have access to the internet via the radio.
