You can connect a universal reversing camera in 2 ways. Look at the photo below and read the steps listed below.
Method 1
Connect all cables as shown above, please note that it may not match in reality. But a universal camera always has a yellow cinch plug, and a red +12 wire with a black ground wire. The yellow cinch plug should eventually be connected to the yellow CAM-IN cinch plug of the car radio. The red 12V+ wire from the camera can be connected to the red BACK wire from the car radio, or if you don't have a BACK wire, it can be connected to the REVERSE wire. The wire on nr 3 is a ground wire, which may be placed on black brake wire or may be glued to metal somewhere.
Make sure you secure and close the wires properly so that no short circuit is caused. If this method doesn't work, try the next method.
Method 2
You close everything as shown above, the only thing you do extra is connect the wires of number 2 to the 12v + of the reversing lighting. Note that sometimes a suppression filter is required.
