Use CarPlay or Android Auto

Please note: these instructions apply only to AVISON car radios purchased after 2022 or equipped with the Autolink, Phonelink, or Speedplay application. Keep in mind that you cannot install these applications retroactively as they are installed on the car radio during production.

Wireless CarPlay Instructions:

To use CarPlay wirelessly, first navigate to the Autolink or Speedplay application through the car radio. Note that you do not need to purchase a license, as the application is already activated. If the application is not activated, ensure that the car radio is connected to the internet via the WiFi settings. Occasionally, it may be necessary to reactivate the application; this occurs automatically once there is an internet connection. Please note that this happens very rarely.

After starting the Autolink or Speedplay application, go to your iPhone's WiFi settings and ensure that WiFi is turned on. It does not need to be connected to the internet, but the option must be enabled. Then, go to Bluetooth and search for the car radio via Bluetooth. When connected to the car radio, you will typically receive a notification on your iPhone to grant CarPlay permission. Afterward, you will see on the car radio screen that the application is loading. The initial connection may take some time, but subsequent connections will be automatic and faster.

Once the connection is successful, the CarPlay menu will automatically appear on your screen. To return to the car radio menu, simply press any key on the car radio. If you want to return to the CarPlay screen, press the Autolink or Speedplay application again, and CarPlay will start immediately.

Wired CarPlay Instructions:

If you do not want to use wireless CarPlay, it is possible to connect via the USB cable. Note that only one of the two USB ports works with CarPlay. Simply connect your iPhone to the USB and grant permission via your iPhone. For wired CarPlay, use the pre-installed Phonelink application.

Wireless Android Auto Instructions:

If the application is not activated, ensure that the car radio is connected to the internet via the WiFi settings.
